Welcome to Roger Hyde Limited’s team, history, and accreditations.
Since 1968, wood flooring, the maintenance of wood flooring, and providing best value, has been at the centre of our Company.
Roger originally started a contract cleaning business; with his expertise, customer service focus and sheer energy, he was soon invited to complete other works.

The cleaning company was soon completing the contract cleaning for local businesses, exclusive residential properties, as well as Bromley Glades and Lakeside shopping centre and several super stores.
​
Roger found his passion was with wood flooring and sold the cleaning company to focus on wood flooring and the bespoke service he could offer; With a natural flair and love for wood flooring, he focused on repairing, restoring, and maintenance, with clients nationwide.
Roger built the company from the ground up, and James Hyde joined in 1999 immediately starting on the tools. Installation and maintenance services grew and additional investment in labour, management, and infrastructure was needed.
Ed Hyde joined soon after, and further growth followed.
The company, now based within walking distance of James' home, operates with customers up and down the UK.
The aim is still the same all these years later, to ensure our clients get best value.

We take pride in our professionalism and knowledge, and we are not afraid to show it! Below are some of the accreditations we have achieved, and continue to do so year-by-year; adhering to industry requirements and keeping with the times.
We are proud to have achieved Gold Membership status with Constructionline.

It means we have demonstrated and attained SSIP certification, that we surpass Silver and Gold health and safety standards, giving you peace of mind that you are working with an organisation that looks after the welfare of customers and our workforce.
The CFA has always stood for quality in materials, installations and approach to business, that’s why it’s one of the UK’s leading Trade Associations for flooring.
Our membership means we get access to the latest flooring information, technical advice, product developments and training for our technicians, including SMSTS, first aid and health and safety.
CHAS, (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme), is a type of accreditation that proves our health and safety processes meet excellent standards and we are pleased to say we have their accreditation!
CHAS helps you to know that we have achieved compliance across the different areas of risk management, health and safety, and mitigate risks across the supply chain. Our processes and documentation are audited by CHAS as an independent organisation.
Carrying out DBS checks provides transparency of our technicians; it is important for them to hold DBS certificates, and, for these to be regularly updated.
Having a DBS check enables us to carry out flooring projects, in both the Education and Health sectors, (where they are predominantly required), giving our customers peace of mind.
We are proud to off-set our carbon footprint, as we wish to be as sustainable as possible.
Carbon Footprint Ltd. was chosen as it meets the recognised QAS (Quality Assurance Standard) for Carbon Offsetting.
Our commitment to the safety of our clients and employees is paramount. Our employees are CSCS or SMSTS accredited; We ensure all complete the safety awareness course as well as First Aid training.

All our works are supported by comprehensive risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and on-site safety reviews including toolbox talks and supervisor safety assessments. Our processes and premises are rigorously audited by our health and safety consultants, Safety Services (UK) Limited.
